Thanks to the hard work of our members, this special day has been celebrated across the state since 2006, when the IFT introduced the bill passed during the 95th General Assembly.
Every third Wednesday in November, we celebrate this day and show our appreciation to the thousands of dedicated paraprofessionals, administrative assistants, and other school-related personnel who provide critical services in our classrooms, school and campus offices, cafeterias, school buses, and more.
If you are an educator, you rely on your outstanding PSRP colleagues to help you be an effective professional and keep your school running. If you are a parent of a school-aged child, you know that dedicated PSRPs help your student thrive in countless ways. I urge each of you to thank a PSRP in your life today to let them know how much you appreciate everything they do!
To all our incredible PSRP members, I want to offer my sincere thanks on behalf of the members, staff, and leaders of the IFT. Please accept my deepest gratitude for your commitment to students and dedication to our union. YOU make us #IFTstrong.
In solidarity,
Dan Montgomery, IFT President
