CHICAGO – This Sunday, the Old Town Teachers Organization (OTTO, IFT Local 909) will present a special “Truth to Power” concert live at ROCKS Northcenter to stand together as they continue their fight for a fair contract and four seats on the board of the Old Town School of Folk Music (OTSFM). OTTO has been bargaining with OTSFM leadership for 26 months for their first union contract.
“As we head into the new year, OTTO is asking that OTSFM make a commitment to bargain with OTTO at least once a week,” said co-presidents Bill Brickey and Jessica Martino. “Let’s get this done. Our teaching artists deserve a fair contract and 4 voting seats on the board. The health of our community depends on it.”
The union will be holding this free concert to come together with the community and build solidarity in their fight for a fair contract and four voting seats on the OTSFM board:
