Honoring Women in a Year of Unprecedented Attacks

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, let’s remember that celebrating and uplifting women is an everyday commitment. This month has been a time to honor the trailblazers who fought, resisted, and paved the way for the rights we enjoy today. Yet, this year feels different—heavier. Across the country, women are fighting to preserve what was once secure while facing the elimination of rights that our mothers once enjoyed.

Under President Trump, our fundamental humanity has been under siege. From attacks on reproductive freedom to voter suppression, to the erosion of protections for trans, Black, and Brown women, hard-won progress is being stripped away. This moment calls not only for reflection but also for decisive action.

The women before us did not accept injustice; they organized, mobilized, and changed the world. We honor them not merely through remembrance but through resistance—by protecting our rights at the ballot box, in our communities, and in our doctors’ offices. It means using our collective power and standing in solidarity with every woman, particularly Black, Latine, and trans women who are under attack—on their bodies, their rights, and even their very existence.

Let’s amplify the voices of women driving change and build a future where all women are free to be their authentic selves. Organize, mobilize, and stay engaged—because resistance is our legacy. Most importantly, let’s uplift the women around us. Send a text, make a call, remind them of their power. In times like these, we don’t just need hope—we need each other. Supporting one another is also an act of resistance.
