High School Educators! Register Your Students for the Illinois Personal Finance Challenge

Are you looking for a way to get your students excited about personal finance? Register for the Illinois Personal Finance Challenge (IPFC)! This competition provides students with a motivating opportunity to build, apply, and demonstrate their knowledge in areas like earning income, spending, saving, managing credit, investing, and managing risk. The IPFC is brought to you through a partnership with the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office and the UIC Center for Economic Education.

Teams of 3-4 students compete in the challenge through online exams during fall and spring testing windows, with all student scores accessible to teachers. There is no limit to the number of teams a teacher can have, and no limit to how many teachers can participate from the same school. The top high school teams will compete in a virtual case study, which will determine the winning state team. The top team will represent Illinois in the National Personal Finance Challenge (NPFC) finals in Atlanta.

The NPFC provides a full teacher toolkit with lessons, activities, videos, quizzes, and case studies to help your students learn about the six core knowledge areas of personal finance.

Learn more about competition rules and deadlines, then register your students to take the challenge!
