Harlem Federation of Teachers on strike
(August 21, 2007)
More than 500 IFT members of the Harlem Federation of Teachers, Local 540, went on strike Tuesday, August 21, after negotiations with the district failed to result in a contract agreement on Monday. The Harlem School District serves more than 7,000 students in the northern Illinois communities of Loves Park, Machesney Park and southern Roscoe.
